Meet Rachel Bradburn, Senior Associate at Venture Advisory

Rachel’s career in accounting spans over 20 years, and along the way, she’s built a reputation for being approachable, practical, and refreshingly easy to work with. She first worked alongside Matt years ago, and when the opportunity came up to join forces again at Venture Advisory, it was an easy yes. With her knack for high-level reviews, compliance work, forecasting, valuations, and restructures, Rachel’s role is all about helping Matt and the team deliver great work faster, and making life simpler for clients.

While her professional background is impressive, Rachel’s real gift lies in making the complex feel clear and manageable. She enjoys rolling up her sleeves, streamlining how things are done, and chatting with clients in a way that’s straightforward and easy to understand. For her, accounting is as much about relationships as it is about numbers - getting to know the people behind the business and working alongside them to achieve their goals.

Outside the office, Rachel has had quite the adventure-filled life – from growing up in Wanaka to working as a Contiki Tour Manager, living in the UK and Italy, working on cruise ships, and even crossing paths with Rowan Atkinson along the way. These experiences have shaped her open, down-to-earth style and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Now based in Auckland, Rachel spends her downtime making the most of the outdoors. Whether it’s walking the Routeburn Track, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying time with her eight-year-old daughter, she brings the same energy and enthusiasm to life outside work as she does to helping clients thrive.
