Meet Lauren Coffey, Bookkeeping & Payroll at Venture Advisory

Lauren has been working in bookkeeping and payroll for over 12 years, but her journey started much earlier, helping out with admin in her father’s business. That role quickly grew into managing full accounts, and since then she’s worked with a wide variety of businesses and industries - a mix she’s always enjoyed. Payroll remains her favourite part of the job, bringing together her love of working with people and her knack for getting the numbers spot on.

Since joining Venture Advisory in May 2023, Lauren has been right in the thick of things - working across multiple clients, meeting people from all walks of life, and keeping everything ticking along behind the scenes. She’s known for her problem-solving mindset, always asking “how can we make this work?” and taking the time to figure things out properly. Her approach is collaborative, positive, and built on the belief that you don’t have to know everything from the start - you just have to be willing to learn.

One of Lauren’s career highlights was her work with Recorp, a project that started small but grew into full responsibility for their accounts and payroll. The experience was full-on but invaluable, teaching her the importance of problem-solving, adaptability, and clear handovers.

Outside the office, Lauren’s creativity shines. She’s a talented maker, with a passion for sewing, costume design, and the history of fashion. From upcycling vintage blankets into coats to curating finds from her op-shopping adventures, she loves giving new life to old treasures. When she’s not at her sewing machine, you’ll likely find her gaming, crafting, or spending time with her American Bulldog, Pearl.
