Meet Lou Curran

Lou Curran, Practice Operations Lead at Venture Advisory

Lou brings a wealth of experience in executive support and operations, having spent close to a decade working alongside senior leaders in the financial services sector across the UK and US.

Originally from the UK, Lou’s path has been anything but conventional. She met her Kiwi husband while backpacking through Queenstown in 2009, where she went on to spend several years working in adventure tourism. From there, she built her career across London and New York before relocating to Auckland, where she is now based.

Her early career in travel and project coordination laid the foundations for what she does today - managing complexity, coordinating moving parts, and keeping things running smoothly. Over time, her role has evolved into operational and executive support, where she brings structure, clarity, and momentum to teams and projects.

At Venture Advisory, Lou supports the team across operations and coordination, helping ensure client work is delivered seamlessly and to a high standard. She is known for her calm, proactive approach and her ability to anticipate what’s needed before it becomes urgent.

Outside of work, Lou is a busy mum who makes the most of any rare downtime - usually travelling or heading to music festivals with friends. She also sits on her local school board, contributing her time and skills back into the community.
